Can YOU see a flicker of brilliance in a film?
UK Asian Film Festival is setting up a Young Curators Lab to nurture a new generation of cinema audiences to appreciate and distinguish independent South Asian films from all over the world. Film curators pick the films to be shown during festivals and special film series in cinemas, cinematheques and other cultural institutions – a dream job with technically no formal training.
Young Curators aged between 18 and 25 years old will have an opportunity to learn curatorial skills for diverse films addressing vital societal challenges and celebrations. They will watch a selection of new features submitted to UK Asian Film Festival from which they will select a film that will be screened at the Youth Gala at BAFTA.
For more information, please email [email protected] with a 2min video about why you want to be part of the Young Curators Lab. You must be able to attend the training evening and screenings in January 2019.
